𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐬? When breeding high-grade Medaka it is important to separate colors that are not what you’re looking for; to keep the brood line strong. When you buy unsorted Medaka from Medaka city, we only sell high-quality rice fish. We do not sell deformed or unhealthy fish, Just simply fish that didn’t make the final cut. We also have a pond that  is full of random Medaka that we randomly select. 
𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐉𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐬𝐡:
The medaka rice fish or Oryzias latipes is a small fish originating from Japan and south East Asian, which maxes out at 1/1.5 inches. They are great for aquariums and outdoor mini ponds alike . They can eat anything from flakes and pellets to vegitation and mosqutio larva. They like to be kept in groups, with a minimum of 6 indivduals. A water volume of at least 10 gallons is necessary since they have a relatively high bio-load for a fish of their size. With a temperature of ideal temperature of 50-75 degrees Fahrenheit , but can survive in 35-95 degrees Fahrenheit.
