𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬: Characterized by it’s Long blue tented fins, with red ‘Vermilion’, Black ink, and tri-color trichromatic external Light with some individuals having black rim patterneds on their side.

𝐁𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞: They are external light type, with extending extracorporeal light from the back to the head, and their signature blue and gold scale colors.

The Shukougyoku Medaka are a newer strain from Japan. These are a unique variety with either a a ‘Vermilion’ red tricolor body with full body outer light, blue out light with black rim patterns, or a golden head with blue or goldouter light. Every Shukou gyoku is different. They have long iridescent blue tipped long fins also known as ‘kissing wide Fin.’ Some individuals have Black rim patterns along Their sides, and bold trichromatic external Light. They typically have Blue and gold external light on their back, but some individuals can have three color external light on the back. These some of the most Rare and pedigree Medaka we have, From their distinctive, tricolor body to their long ‘kissing wide fin’ fins.

𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐉𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐬𝐡:

The medaka rice fish or Oryzias latipes is a small fish originating from Japan and south East Asia, which maxes out at 1/1.5 inches. They are great for aquariums and outdoor mini ponds alike . They can eat anything from flakes and pellets to vegetation and mosqutio larvae. They like to be kept in groups, with a minimum of 6 indivduals. A water volume of at least 10 gallons is necessary since they have a relatively high bio-load for a fish of their size. They do best in a temperature of 50-75 degrees Fahrenheit , but can survive in 35-95 degrees Fahrenheit.
